The first changing exhibit opens unofficially in the Carriage House with an evening reception for the membership.

Wallace Women Discovery Kit launch
Programming preview: specialized tour offerings, lesson plans, activities
Teachers, homeschoolers, and scout leaders will get a preview of the new and improved educational tools, such as the Wallace Women Discovery Kit they can check out, theme tours of the new exhibit and Study, and resources for their classrooms.

March 24, 2007  Public Exhibit Opening
Opening program: A Conversation with Susan and Zerelda
The official exhibit opening features a family program with first-person interpretation of both Susan and Zerelda Wallace.

June 15, 2007  Essay Contest ends

July 10-14, 2007  Lew Wallace Academy, 9am-12:30pm
The Academy for nominated students incorporates the same themes as previous years with more emphasis on Susan.

July 14-15, 2007  Civil War Encampment
The Indiana 11th and the Virginia 33rd represent both sides of the war. Planned events include a skirmish, military drills, surgeon's demonstration, hardtack production, and Gen. Wallace himself.

Performers include The Leadsmen, Dane Clark Band, and Troubled Waters.

September 7, 2007  Sword and the Pen program for Libro Club at CHS, 3:10pm

September 9, 2007  High Tea With Susan and Zerelda, 1-4:30pm
Outdoor Victorian activities, tea, and music on the grounds with Zerelda and Susan portrayed through first-person interpretation.

September 30, 2007  Artists In Residence Program, 1-4:30pm
Join local artists on the Study grounds as they demonstrate their work, and create some art of your own!

October 7, 2007  Walking Tour of Crawfordsville Suffrage Sites, 2:00pm
Join the League of Women Voters as they celebrate the year of the Wallace Women by highlighting Crawfordsville sites that were crucial to the struggle for women's suffrage. Program fee. Contact 765-362-5769 for details.

November 10, 2007  Women Making A Difference: Panel Discussion & Symposium with the League of Women Voters
The LWV of Montgomery County is partnering with the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum to lead discussion on ways women have made a difference in history and our world today.

December 9, 2007  A Holiday Luncheon With Susan and Zerelda, 12:00-3:00pm
Indoor tea and finger foods with first-person interpretation of Susan Elston Wallace and Zerelda Sanders Wallace, along with Victorian activities and crafts.
