2014 Civil War Trust Park Day

The General Lew Wallace Study & Museum is holding a Civil War Trust Park Day event on Saturday, April 5, 9:00 am – noon. Grounds Manager Deb King organizes the event, which is the only such event in Indiana. Park Day has been celebrated since 1996 at Civil War-related sites across the U.S. For more information about the national event, you can look at the Civil War Trust’s webpage.

Here at the Study, Deb is seeking volunteers who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Planned activities include raking leaves, mulching gardens, dividing perennials, tree limb disposal, painting, and moving tables and signs. Tools are not required, but you may bring your own if desired.

A light snack will be provided.

If you have questions or want to RSVP, call Deb at 765-362-5769 or use our contact page to email her.
