Museum Camp still has room for a few more youth aged 8 – 12 who are interested in art! Museum Camp is a week-long summer camp at four museums and one art gallery. This camp is a cooperative effort by member organizations to help Montgomery County students gain a new appreciation for history, arts, and culture while learning in a fun environment. Museum Camp will be held from June 26-30 from 9 am to noon.
Campers will spend the week creating tie-dye art at the Carnegie Museum of Montgomery County, acrylic paintings at the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum, art at the Rotary Jail, quilt squares at Lane Place, and at Athens of Indiana Arts. At the end of the week, campers will be able to display their artistic creations on July 1 at Maker Day.
The cost per child is $15. Registration forms may be picked up at any of the participating organizations or at the Montgomery County Visitors and Convention Bureau. Registration forms may also be downloaded at http://bit.ly/MCHA2017.
