American Battlefield Trust Park Day

April 10, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

On Saturday, April 10, 2021, history buffs, community leaders, and preservationists will aid in the maintenance and restoration of numerous sites as part of Park Day, the American Battlefield Trust’s annual hands-on preservation event. Thousands of volunteers across the country will participate as Park Day celebrates its 25th year.

In Indiana, the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum will host a Park Day event and celebrate Lew Wallace’s birthday beginning at 9 am. Objectives for the day are painting picnic tables and railings, raking gardens, dividing perennials, spreading mulch, and general grounds cleanup. A free tour of the Museum will be offered to all volunteers.  For more information about Park Day at the Study, please contact Deb King.
